For Yuima Nakazato Couture
Couture Production Intern
YUIMA NAKAZATO’s Couture collection, “INFERNO,” with pieces capable of transforming into a variety of forms.
While working as a couture production intern the team and I worked to bring these ceramic dresses to life. Creating a single ceramic dress requires approximately 1,000 hours of work. In order to achieve a precise fit to the model’s body, digital technologies are incorporated into the process, while each individually shaped ceramic element is produced with precision through laser engraving. This season, by incorporating porcelain into the material, we succeeded in creating the thinnest ceramic dress to date, enabling a lightweight and delicate expression.
